Jack Merridew

Jack is head of the choir boys and becomes head of the hunters. He's introduced walking in front of the choir boys as they follow behind him in two single file lines, all wearing black capes with a silver bagde. His desire to be leader of the boys, and
jealousy and anger towards Ralph, shows throughout the story. Jack is cocky but on his first chance to kill a pig, he whimps out, and is extremely eager to redeem himself. He slowly becomes more cruel, barbaic and wild throught the story. When he finally become a leader of his own group he instills fear and rules with a bloddy fist.
